Taric Ultimate Continues through Death [Gameplay]

This may or may not be a bug but I am reporting it as such. I would assume as with most champions with delayed abilities that if you kill them before the effect goes off that the damage/effect is negated.

When Taric ults (for clarity: he had bastioned someone before ulting), killing Taric before the invincibility effect had taken effect still results in both aoe fields still producing an invincibility buff on any nearby units despite focusing him down. I dont know if it is intentional or not. But some champions like Morgana's Ult will not activate the secondary damage and stun effect if she dies or Karthus channeling his ult and then dying interrupts and puts the ability on cooldown. On the opposite end, Vladamir will still do bonus damage and damage amplification on targets affected by his ult whether or not he dies.

So I am not sure if this is a bug that Taric's ult still goes off on both target positions despite his death specifically. I would make the assumption that Riot would give him this very powerful ability with counterplay being backing away or bursting Taric to disable the effect.
