Soraka: I don't want this orange, wheres my apple?

I hadn't played in a while so when I came back to see my favourite champion (soraka) had some changes I took a look.

But.. They changed Everything, she's simply not the same champion anymore :/ They could have thrown this kit on someone new and no one would have known it was supposed to be Soraka, its that different. I've seen lots of threads arguing about which was better and which was worse. But honestly, that's irrelevant, they are too different to compare. Everything about her changed. Play style, match ups, item synergies.. its all changed. And quite frankly, I do not enjoy this new champion, its not Soraka.

The Soraka I used to play I had played since beta, back when she had 2.6AP ratios on her heals. She's went through a LOT of changes since then, but they always kept her play style the same, and she always felt like Soraka. What has happened this time though, is they just removed my champion and put an imposter in her place.

I had bought every skin she's had, and invested years player her, and now she's just gone. Someone took away my apple and gave me this stupid orange that I don't want.

Please revert Soraka back to how she was, you can use this new kit on a different champion, its different enough to be able to do that, maybe alter the ult a bit if necessary.

The old soraka was not a healthy champ. If she was weak, she was useless in support, if she was strong she became insanely dominant in other lanes.

She also had this pattern that just stagnated the lane and made the game boring.

I feel for you though, it sucks when something you like gets changes that make it less fun for you. But sadly, in this case, it was unavoidable.

I like new soraka much more than old soraka, even if her E needs that nerf taken away. She's infinitely more fun.

It's true; she is much different then you last remembered her. The reason for the update, as I see it at least, was due to how dominant she was in other lanes besides bot lane. If you were gone during mid/late Season 3 and early Season 4 (where they changed some thing about the original Soraka), she was dominating both top and middle lane. On top of that, her late game scaling with item 3110, item 3065 , and item 3116 was just stupid.

Anyways, the new Soraka, although way different then the old, is now a bot lane sustain/poke champ... she actually has a root now! On top of that, I believe she is a much harder to play champ now, seeing that she has 2 skill shots to land. As for reverting her back, I don't think too many people actually want that. Not that many Soraka mains, ya know?

As someone else mentioned, the same thing happened to Xerath. Take it as a lesson to not get attached or identify with a character, because they can and will (sometimes) be removed from the game and replaced with a new champion that bares the same name and appearance.
