Why doesnt context apply or is it because it takes too much time?

Riot has the "if you get attacked you and the attacker get punished" mentality aka retorting to players but Ive always remembered when i got chat bans and see other peoples logs that they never showed context of what other people are saying but thats pretty bullshit imo. Its like telling a rape victim they have to go to jail for fighting off the rapist. Obviously not that extreme but the concept still applies and makes damn well good sense. People who stand up for others in the real world are praised and never face any consequences yet riot wants to be the holy trinity that is right? Pretty dumb that if players can be toxic towards you game after game by trying to help players you can still be punished for standing up for yourself. How is it being toxic to another player when they are the toxic one? Its like saying a sad person isnt a sad person or a mad person isnt a mad person just makes no sense.

Thats riot for you, i have people say INSANELY ridiculous stuff to me like death threats and drink bleach and that kind of crap in games, i report them, and i never once see the notification pop up of the tribunal, and the 1 time i said something back to one of these people I GOT BANNED FOR 14 DAYS.

I dont even have my chat box on the screen anymore, it saves so much trouble, yet i still get reported every once in a while for "verbal abuse" thats funny, didnt know i could verbally abuse someone without a chat box lmfao...

For the sake of this argument/situation, its more like you are arresting the rape victim for raping the aggressor...

Honestly, when someone gets toxic they will always have a "good" reason in their own minds. In this situation, RIOT has to try and be as unbiased as possible.

No system is perfect and some people get away with stuff in spite of their best efforts. Regardless, if you stoop to their level and reply in kind (eye for an eye) than you are equally guilty of breaking RIOT's rules and are subject to the same punishments.

Again, to use your example, you don't defend yourself against a rapist by raping them. Every situation has appropriate ways to be dealt with. Sometimes it involves fighting fire with fire. Players being toxic is not one of them.
