disregardable1 votesRank doesn't count. Your rewards only reflect your rank on the specific date the season ended, which was the 12th. You won't have to worry about it for another year. You can still be promoted and demoted, but it won't get you anything.
Deep Terror Nami2 votesThat sounds a bit confusing. To explain further;
-
2015 Season ended on Nov. 11th. Everyone eligible received rewards for their ranks at that time. This is set in stone and changes in rank after that won't affect it.
-
We are now in Preseason, the gap between the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Rank play continues as normal, including promotion, demotion, and MMR change. There's no decay though, and as I said already, no change in your rewards.
-
2016 Season will start sometime in January or February (TBD). At that time everyone will become unranked, lose a little bit of MMR called a "soft reset", and need to do placement matches again; you'll be placed where your MMR is.
