game vs. sport

It seems like Riot is more and more forcing their game to be less of a game and more of a sport. It's become some kind of horrible mess that's only fun to most people if they're winning, and completely unfun and terrible if they're losing. It's seriously driving me and a lot of people who actually enjoy the gameplay away. I feel regret immediately after hitting that "play" button every time, because I know there's only a 50/50 shot at actually having a good time.

I play plenty of other games that are competitive, like fighting games and such, but those don't lock me in a guaranteed loss for 30 minutes while immature jerks constantly throw insults around.

will we ever get that fun, laid back experience the game used to be again, or will us veterans have to just give up on something we used to like?

The problem is that people like you think that everyone should think and play like you. You think that everyone should be laid back and not care if they win or lose as long as the experience is fun. You have two different people with two different thought processes. This is a competitive game that the casual player don't understand.

I default to the way RIOT intended the game be played and that is to basically do the things necessary to beat your opponent. If you are not doing this then you are 100% wrong. People like you, which there are a big number, created this other thought process by not playing the game the way it was intended and think that everyone else is wrong.

Casual players will ruin the community of any competitive game because they think it's ok to play their way and fuck everyone else. Because there are so many of you people, you become entitled and then start whining like you did in your post and expect your words to be gospel.
