Ranked ban changes/ideas
Ever grow tired of not being able to ban all those pesky champions in ranked. What if the ban limit were higher. Say your team and the enemy team each got to ban 4-5 champions. In total that gives the enemy team and your team another ban or two. The champion pool continues to grow so it's becoming ever more difficult to make what may be proper bans. In the normal run mill of things we don't no what our foes play or what lane they may main. We don't have that key information to counter pick against them like the Pros vs Pros.
The other thought I had is well what if i'm not the one banning. I'm sure we have all felt that instance of asking our banner to not ban or to ban a certain champion just to have them not listen. Of course they don't have to listen to us given their role & power. Getting to setup the board the way you want by banning and getting the pick you want essentially. Others hate being the banner because they don't want that responsibility. Maybe you could grant or randomly give this role of banning to another player randomly who's in your team.
How I would like to take some of that power away is the top 3 players each get to ban out one champion of their choice. This grants more equal power to individual players vs having just a single player make the important calls. Sure some of us play 5's ranked so this should never be a issue. You should be communicating with your 5's team to chose your bans, but say solo/duo this will simply never be the case. So for those game arc types solo/duo I think it's worth testing both of these ideas and see what the community thinks.
Better yet Riot could feature these changes in drafts first before moving them into ranked. It's certainly worth a try to change the scheme of things. Not saying there need to be more bans but maybe allowing other players on your team participate actively in the banning process by allowing them a ban pick vs a single player having power over all 3 ban picks for their team.
