My Honor Badge "Decayed" After Four Years?

I've been playing League around four and a half years, and actually got my first badge not long after. It was initially for being a good teammate. I loved that I was being rewarded for actually making the active effort to seem forgiving and try to make friends while I played. Every since I got it, I've desperately tried to keep that attitude throughout games. I didn't want to lost it, despite the fact that 4-5 days later I got one for being an honorable opponent, which in all honesty, I'd have preferred to keep the other one shown. I always thought it was odd that you couldn't keep track of the ones you had or switch them out which annoyed me, but I didn't think much of it at the time.

For the longest time, I looked up things on the honor system which to this day still remains, or so it seems, the most untouched, outdated, unexplained and controversial system and the only one that actually gives the players that strive to be some sort of positive teammate or enemy any sort of payoff other than the occasional mystery gift or icon that everyone gets for doing nothing other than not getting banned, which really isn't that hard to start with. I'm really not trying to approach this from a butthurt perspective, but I really kinda am.

After a game, the most common thing people do or ask for is honor (Or report), and from what I can tell from the community, hardly ever do you actually get a badge. Hell, I didn't even expect my badge. In fact, when I got it I only had around 37-40ish honor. No more than 50, I promise you that. I've heard some people claim it to be off consistency, which I suppose makes the most sense, but it'd be extremely nice to hear the entire system laid out from a Rioter. I get that it's supposed to be something you really earn, but it'd be nice to have an actually explanation so people know how to strive for it. As of now, being honored doesn't do much other than stack numbers. It's really neat to have it part of the loading screen. If a silver border or playing a champ non-stop to get mastery 4 (by doing good or bad) will get something on the load screen, doesn't being the part of the community that isn't the manifestation of the Red Sea have a place too? Thankfully, it does, it's just extremely contrived.

I've never been banned the entire time I've played League. Never been given a chat warning or restriction, none of it. As of now, I have 196 friendlies, 176 helpfuls, 781 honorable opponents and 817 teammworks, yet not only did I get on today to find that my badge was gone, but the one I had before my honorable opponent one, the one for teamwork was gone. I looked around and from what I can sort of tell is that badges can decay after not consistently getting honored for so long, even though I still do get, at the very least teammworks, on the daily. Not to sound self-absorbed, but I probably get those more than honorable opponents nowadays. It seems just about as consistent, if not more so now than when I get them. I guess I do have a question to all this: Did it really decay or is there something else that could've happened?

I'd love to know what happened and why it happened. It'd be beautiful from a Rioter, and if not, it's pretty rhetorical. This is more of a rant than anything. I really was proud of that thing, I really did try to be and stay a positive player. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew how, or even if I could get it back. if it was even relatively easy, I'd have gotten a badge for the 196 friendlies and 176 helpfuls ages ago. It's clearly not a matter of a certain number. and it hardly seems to be a consistency thing anymore.

More than anything, I'd love for them to redo or at least tweak this system, and at the very, very, absolute minimum, post something explaining it. Explain how to earn one, explain what must have happened to the people that lost one, anything. If you implement a system that reward people that can be taken away at any moment, it always deserves an explanation as to why it could have happened, whether that be via e-mail or actual article. I know some people who had their's taken were given an e-mail because it was part of their punishment for behavior, but what about the people who didn't have it taken for behavior? Which, in my opinion, you shouldn't have an honor badge taken if you didn't break the guidelines of the attitude it represents to start. Your reward consists ENTIRELY on what other players think of you. You could be the nicest, most sportsman player in the world, but if your team and their's just happen to not want to take the effort to honor, or forget, or just don't give enough of a damn, you're not given anything. But, I'm just going in circles here.

[slayer-jinx-unamused] That's my rant. I'm sad, I want my badge back or at least not have to try for another four years for one ;__;

riot goofed hard with the honor system as they are prone to doing. I tend to get friendlies or teamworks and at least one honourable opponent per game I play, yet I haven't gotten a single badge.
