Did Ironstylus really say the Fiora changes were because he is a feminist?

I can't hate a man if things said about him might not be true. If these changes really are because of his roots then it just makes me confused. Since in his eyes a woman can't be beautiful and strong at the same time which i seems counter intuitive to his point. Which is why I'm asking if he really said that or if this it is just some community blame game.

Personally I like Fiora and Gangplank more as the young and brash people they were before. While Gangplank did have some years on him the two still had that. I'm great, and you should be grateful that I'm great because I am great" feel to them. Now Gangplank seems like he's Captain Barbosa after the 9th Pirates movie and Fiora seems like a cranky old women with the skills to get kills.

I haven't seen the comment being referred to, but having read a lot of his comments in the past and knowing how community opinions tend to operate I'd say at best his words were distorted and at worse it's just an empty accusation.

When I got on the boards today I saw several people in comments and post talking about how he changed Fiora because he's a feminist. I didn't really see how those two lines really crossed besides her being a woman but and i was making sure that people weren't just saying it to put some slander on him.

Trying to make him seem like the crazy extreme feminist who think that all men are evil and what not.

I believe IronStylus has stated he is a feminist in other various instances, I doubt his views are extreme, however (if he were, I'd imagine many of the champions he designed, namely Leona, Diana, and I believe Quinn, would look drastically different).

My best guess as to the source these people are referring to are his comments over on this Reddit thread: https://redditjs.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/3e9mh6/fiora_model_is_being_worked_on_we_are_being/

Though I didn't see any instance of him specifically referring to his beliefs as motivation for changing Fiora. Unless I missed a comment, my guess is that people are jumping to conclusions.

Moreover, I believe IronStylus is a concept artist, not a splash artist or a 3D artist, so he personally would be more responsible for the concept art than the splash or model (and tbh, I think the concept art looks quite good)

My best guess as to actual primary motivation in giving Fiora a VU would be previous comments IronStylus has made about how many Demacian women seem to wear a lot of skintight blue jumpsuits (ie. Lux, Quinn, Vayne, previously Fiora), and how he wanted to diversify their wardrobe a bit. I don't think changing her hairstyle (or face) were as primary motivations (and in fact they've gone back and changed a lot of that).

Well Thanks for clearing things up and I don't mind her concept art at all, i loved the looks of it it was just the weird stretched out face of the splash art that made her seem older then she was represented before.

No problem. It's very difficult to recreate art, especially across different medium, and IronStylus mentioned they're going with a more stylized art approach (he said they plan on creating a blog on it in a few months or so), so I think the splash was also made to take that into account. It could also explain some of the relatively recent more stylized splash art, like Ezreal

It's not because he's a feminist, it's because he and his team are arrogant jerks who think they can do no wrong and don't care if people spent money they will just be hypocrites and randomly change what ever they want.

All these champions were sexualized. I don't see where people are assuming he's feminist...

Yeah that's one thing that really irked me about the old Sej. It was before my League time but when i saw it I was confused as to why a Nord was wearing...nothing. I'm glad that was changed because it just didn't seem right, I remember the concept art saying how much sense it didn't make for her to be wearing a snow bikini.

I don't really have much of an opinion of Arhi or Sivir since I don't play them but much I always though Sivir was meant to be like Xena the warrior princess.

First off, Sejuani's not a Nord. Second off, there's no such thing as Nords on Runeterra.
