Why is Riot making us prioritize a Lizard?

.... You know what I mean... All this increased damage to champions and turrets. Remember when Dragon was just worth like 500 gold and low elo still worshiped it?

Next thing you know in low elo...

"DUDE WHY THE FU_ ARE YOU GETTING MID TOWER (you know.. an ACTUAL objective to win the game...) , THE DRAGON IS UP! GET THE FU_ING DRAGON!"

tha dragons are a good change. The time drag gave gold it was heavily contest in competitive because GOLD is worth a lot in this game, it gives you ITEMS and such. the exact reason you go for kills or first blood. With the current dragon it takes like till the 3rd/4th or 5th dragon before it is contested which was not the intention of riot honestly. Now they are making dragons have ACTUAL value again. I'm glad for the change honestly, makes it interesting and no game will be the same anymore cause dragons are RNG also.

I feel like when riot first made the dragon buff changes they would be making it more important, however now when I watch competitive play it seems like dragon is never contested until 3rd or 4th stack and it instead just goes over to whoever happens to be over on that side of the map at the time.

I have seen less teamfights over the current buff dragon than I did back when it gave team gold and I don't think that was riots intent.

I think they are changing it to make it more important to teams and cause more teamfights early/mid game like it used to, while still retaining the buff theme instead of just team gold
