So there's a thing that I think needs to be acknowledged here.
All of us who rage at Riot's awful AWFUL balance decisions, their tendency to change a million things all at once without the slightest fuck given, the down right abysmal state of matchmaking and of course, fucking dynamic Q. All of us who rage at these things, we rage because we ALSO care.
But we don't care about Riot. We care about THE GAME. We care about league of legends. We want league of legends to thrive, because we are passionate about this game. That's why we direct our rage at the company who, in our personal view is ruining the thing we love with their awful decisions and like any relationship that's going south, we're prepared to stick around for a while to see if it can be mended. We don't want to just leave the second things get a little bumpy.
But we're saying "I want solo queue back. That's all I want. Can't you just give us back the thing we loved the most about you?"
And all we're hearing is "Well, your opinion isn't the majority, so it doesn't matter".
That's not a healthy relationship. Eventually it's going to lead to a messy messy breakup. Because the thing is, League isn't the first video game I've fallen in love with. It's the current, but it won't be the last. I will love again.
Hell, if there was still a community for it, I would still be playing the Tides of Blood mod for Warcraft 3 or if Starcraft hadn't jumped the shark, I'd be playing that. So if things don't improve and we do part ways, I will shed a metaphorical tear for the death of League, as I'm sure it will die when the top 10% all move on to something else, but I won't give a moist fart for the company that killed it.
