most toxic and horrible game i've ever had.

we had a person who got filled to support, so he played adc support Draven. they told me to kill myself in pre-game chat. because I asked why he picked draven support. after once we got into the actual game, they tried to steal all my camps. pinged me every chance they could. I attempted to steal a dragon. they spammed in all chat that I was inting, and I trolled. then proceeded to tell me I'm awful. I was boosted. they hope I die. etc. this was just an awful game. I'm looking for advice on how to deal with these types of players. I always report them.. but I feel like riot never bans them. I would include the name.. but riot forbids it.

i think i was there with you that game, if not then ive had fellow players experience the same thing..

I reported that fellow. And proceeded to advice him that if he wants a certain spot so bad to play draft mode, where you have better odds of getting a certain lane.

I feel you brother/sister. Too many of these toxic people to count. I could ignore them but that does nothing. I worry for the newbies and good-hearted kids who are disheartened with this experience.

theres also lots of pros who bash on people not playing up to their expectations

perhaps we should have a newb arena and a pro arena. and a badmouthing arena and a clean arena, based on social/skill score like netflix's black mirror.

I agree. and thank you for the understanding. it was an awful game for me. I checked and you weren't there. but the fact that you understand means a lot. I hardly talk in chat, I never rage, and I mainly keep to myself. I just don't understand why people are so rude for no reason. I honestly hoped we didn't win that game. when I was in bronze back in season 4, I raged and rage quit all the time. its only been the past season I've kept my mouth shut. because I've realized it's rude, it hurts people's feelings, it doesn't make them play better, it makes me lose more games, and I don't want to be that person. I don't know if I stopped because I've learned more about the game, or if I understand how it feels. But the hardest thing for me, as a jungle main, is the fact that its so easy for people to follow me around and attempt to make my life hell.

The moment someone shows any amount of toxicity just mute them immediately. You can't stop their actions, you can't stop their pings (yet), but you can mute their toxic words.

Nothing can be done about the game other than hoping they get banned.

Yeah that's the solution, it just sucks having to deal with it in EVERY game.

Well its either that or learn to ignore it/get thicker skin. Not an option for everyone though.

I've been told to just /mute all. For some reason I can't seem to keep anyone muted, though. I'm afraid I'll miss my jungler telling me he will gank, and sometimes I'm afraid I'll get reportrd for not communicating.

Inform your team you are going to /mute all and ask them to try and communicate with you through pings. They will get it eventually, you don't need to communicate at all through typing.
