How to make pregame lobbies better

Simply remove the lock in feature. Everyone hates that super late call and auto lock person in blind pick. They kill morale early in the game and set everyone up for failure. I can't think of locking in helping anyone but toxic players who don't have the manners to work with other players on building team strength and necessary roles.

  1. There is a chat issue that should be fixed that causes different clients to display the same chat in different orders. This causes fights between people in chat.
  2. There should be a way to set your positional preference order. Such as Top > Support > Middle > Jungle. If the game itself then did a top down assignment based on this that would greatly reduce in-fighting. Then if you asked in chat to trade positions, it could be handled just like champion trading.

These two things would go to great lengths to help stop negativity before a match even starts.

That's... actually not that bad an idea. I want to hear why some people think we should have a lock in button before I decide my position, but right now I'm all for this.

You raise a good point; I've seen this occur many a time, often resulting in a queue dodge. Does anyone recall the original function of locking in? I might guess that people could guarantee champion picks that way, but we now have Team Builder in place for that.

It's good to so your comments. I'll make a poll for this when I get home tonight. I would be interested to see people's thoughts on the pros and cons to locking in.

Don't play normals. Easy solution.
