Club Tag removal?

I wanted to ask why the Club tags showing up next to your name was removed and the ability to see someone's club in the scoreboard, and will they be temporary. I recently brought a name change so my name would go along with my club tag but the next day after I changed my name, I don't expect or really want to get a refund, but I just wanted to know if the change was permanent.
