Help Me with Bronze (From a Bronze 3 Player Losing Hope)
I am a bronze 3 player who has a pretty abismal winrate and I'm really not sure what to change. I usually do pretty well in my games and (not using "my teammates suck" as a the big reason, this isn't an elo hell rant) just find myself sometimes out of luck with my team. And regardless of my teams, this thread is me looking for a way I can PERSONALLY improve. I've looked at all of the "get out of bronze easy" guides online and they all say the same thing:
- learn to CS I definitely know how to CS and usually have high CS numbers compared to the other players at my rank. I also know how to farm my lane in the mid/late game while still grouping with my team.
- ward Half the time I play support and regardless of what role I'm playing, I'm always dropping wards to cover my ass. Pushing top lane? Won't do it unless I have 2+ wards or see 3+ people elsewhere. Team wants to do drake? I'll lay down wards in the enemy jungle and on the pit ahead of time etc. etc.
- look at the minimap Now I'll be honest this one isn't always perfect. It's not bad by any means, I'm usually checking the map constantly, looking to make plays across the map, TP in to fights, etc. It's usually good, but I'd say I might have 1-2 minor map awareness flubs throughout the game.
- improve mechanics My mechanics aren't amazing or anything, but from the stories I hear and the people I play with/against my mechanics are definitely good enough to escape bronze (I'm hoping).
- don't tilt I'll be honest again this is my worst thing. If I lose 2 games or feed a game I always need to get off and take a break. I do sometimes tilt in games, but not usually to a catastrophic extent.
Those are the 5 major points I see every single guide cover. And as I said, I feel like those don't get me as much as some people. Now by all means, I'm not saying I'm perfect in those categories that was strictly related to "can I get out of bronze based on these things." I'm really losing hope in my bronze soloQ games, and I'm hoping someone in the community is willing to share some words of wisdom that might help more than other internet posts. I will be sure to take any and all comments to heart!
Side note: this is my first season of league and I've only played ~30-40 ranked games this season due to my discouragement, and that data dates all the way back to January when I was still fairly new. So if you look at my ranked history some of the stats are old and I've improved since. My normal game match history might be more conclusive than ranked.
