Looking to get into more competitive League

I am a quickly climbing bronze 2 player (hoping to hit silver by the time school starts). I main jungle but can play any role somewhat effectively. Up until this point I have played very casually with a group of friends, mostly in normals, but I have started wanting something more. This post is completely to see what's out there, but I was wondering if someone could give me some insight into what competitive league is like. I am potentially looking to be a jungle for a bronze/silver division team by season 8. If anyone can give me information regarding competitive league, it would be much appreciated!
