Hello, for some time I've been playing with the idea to apply as Champion Designer, because I have an incredible amount of ideas for champions I'd like to see in League of Legends. Altough i know not all would make it into the game, I really would like to work on them. So my question is: Is there a way to officially apply as Champion Designer at Riot Games? Thanks for reading.

There is your problem. Go and read Meddler's AMA - Champion Design is not about throwing ideas, it's about polishing and reworkining them.
75% of designed champions never make it to live. The remaining 25% undergoes severe changes before their kit is finished.
I don't think there is a direct way to apply to be a champion designer. If you are really serious about it though, I would suggest emailing RIOT instead of trying to get their attention on the forums. Here is a link to apply I believe.
Chances are, regardless of ideas, you're going to need to prove you have what it takes in the form of both design, ideas and planning (And more, I'm sure).
Your best bet at the moment is to hone your skills and work on personal projects in the field of game design, as that's what most closely correlates with champion design. It's unlikely that there are people who only work on champion design but it doesn't hurt to ask. Just know that (At the moment) Riot seems to be looking for more experienced people and those with years of practice under their belt, so you might be at a disadvantage. :(
Yeah, it's called getting a degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
