Why am i chat restricted

it didnt give me a popup saying "due to negativity, you have been chat restricted" it just showed me in game that i was chat restricted and out of game it says now that i have 8 more games of this. i havent been reported for verbal abuse in 2 weeks at least i think and i havent been chat restricted in months. please let me know why.
