I was recently banned by the tribunal & sent a request to review my account.

Recently i've been in games with people who were very toxic towards me, and I took screenshots to display there toxicity.

I personally felt that nobody would care enough to even review my case, as has been the case with league of legends in the past, where employees just sort of skip over your case & say "the ban is justified"

That's why I started taking screenshots, not even so much as to remove my ban, but as something I can go back and look at, as a keepsake for the game I probably was banned for.

Now I want you to really review this, take it for what it is.

We have a player in game, who has gone afk.

He has literally typed and I have a screenshot attached to prove this:

This particular case I was really only going to use just to show other peoples toxicity towards me...and how maybe i'm getting reported by people who are trolling in game...

But to my disbelief riot support actually blamed me for what I said to this person who went AFK on PURPOSE!! and told me "My account has 0 chance on being banned even for an hour" followed by "I'm sure he will laugh at you."

My account is currently suspended...and I feel violated.

I feel like I joined a game and got trolled not just by a player in game...but also by the support staff of the game in general.

I really don't like this because the game League Of Legends, is an amazing game!! I love playing this game.

But the community & the people who are responsible for the game, like they don't like me.

They don't enjoy me playing the game, they feel like I guess, people should go afk? and nobody should say anything?

Is that how it's supposed to be? I shouldn't comment on a guy going afk and making me lose a ranked game...

I should just be quite?

Is this the mob? Nazi Germany? Feels kinda like that...like don't voice your opinion on anything ever?

Should chat just be disabled maybe?

As a new initiative to reduce the amount of toxicity within League of Legends, we’ve recently begun to audit players’ accounts for extreme cases of toxic behavior. Every account punished by this system was personally reviewed by someone at Riot to ensure accuracy.

After having reviewed your account, the decision to issue a 2-week suspension was made due to the extreme cases of toxicity we found. This type of toxic behavior has no place in League of Legends, and we will continue to punish players who exhibit this behavior.

Here are some chat logs from those games played that were negative. These are only a few of many chat logs that displayed negative behavior. Please know that this suspension is a warning before a possible permanent suspension.

This type of behavior is not acceptable and is why the suspension was placed. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. If you do not show any tendency toward improving your behavior, you may see harsher punishments.

I mean we were in game, he wasn't helping...my hope was to show him that he was being toxic and maybe in the realization that he didn't have to be afk..that i've won all my games with kayle & that if he just helped we could win the game...then maybe we could win.

I just don't give up easiliy I guess.....

But not typing anything as my other option..to just sit there and take it while he types things like

"let them win, stop wasting my time"

Idk, I just struggle to not want to stand up for my rights as a human being.

But apparently based on the feedback of everyone here, while playing league of legends I don't have any rights...no right to say anything at all or voice my opinion ever, and if I do BANNED, banned for voicing your opinion.

1: Just because you got a restriction doesn't mean they didn't for their behavior.

2: It doesn't matter how bad they are or who started it, if you are toxic there may be consequences, so don't do it. It doesn't help you, it doesn't help them, it doesn't help Riot, it doesn't help your team; it only hurts.

Do not respond to trolls. It's the proverbial "feeding the bears".

You aren't kidding anyone when you try so say you weren't toxic in some way. Not only will you not be banned for stating a neutral or friendly opinion, it takes a lot more than 1 game to get restricted for doing so.

You have been consistently getting reported for something. If you can't figure out why it was wrong, you'll either continue to get reports and restrictions until you fix it yourself, or you won't fix it and you'll get permanent bans.

This guy robbed me!! By going afk he didn't just rob me, he robbed me and 4 other players of LP.

He then complained that we were wasting his time and that we should all just surrender.

He then said that nobody would care that he robbed us. And if we tell anyone they will just laugh at us.

And you're basically agreeing with him when you say i'm at fault.

No... nobody agreed anywhere with what the other person did. Stop trying to use the "he started it!" argument, it doesn't matter how old you are, you're too old for it.

It doesn't matter who is the recipient of your actions, friendly player or toxic troll; if they are wrong, they are wrong.

Can we assault someone because they wronged us in real life? No, you can get sued by a serial killer the same as if you assaulted a nun. Stop trying to justify wrongdoing by who you wronged.

I don't even know what you were really restricted for. It takes more than one game to get punished, so whatever you did here (you don't even have the full log shown. could've been in post-game lobby) was not your only infraction.

And silently report them after the game....

IMO this is equivallent to someone ROBBING YOU!! and you're supposed to "not say anything" and then report them to the police afterwards. And when the police show up if you say "well he robbed me" they can review the footage and if it shows you saying something like "wtf why are you robbing me, plz don't rob me...oh gawd you're so going to jail for this"

Then the police can arrest you?

You are comparing a robbery over a video game and trying to prove a point. I think rito is correct in making you take a break. The comparison you made is soooo out of whack. The two things are so far from each other it is laughable. Also, yes if someone goes AFK in game and says let them win you don't say anything and you report them after. That person has made their choice, and, again, YOU CANT CONTROL OTHER PEOPLE! All you can do is report them and hope the report + leaverbuster gets to them and they get the ban instead of you. You really think being toxic towards someone and putting them down is really going to change the outcome in any way? It sounds like you have a lot of growing up to do man.

This whole concept of "don't talk at all ever" is very anti Freedom.

But if that's how League is, like if that's the philosophy of Riot than I guess I don't want to support a game that is like this.

It sucks I really do love the game that was created...but i'm not going to move to North Korea just to play league of legends...so I guess you guys win.

Did you consider that threatening to report is considered harassment? No, you didn't.

I don't think you deserve a restriction (from the tiny bit of evidence you provided), but you clearly don't yet understand what is acceptable. Ask them to please stop doing X or Y, but don't threaten to report them if they don't.

And stop comparing this to real life. The community is the judge, the jury, and the executioner; it's not Riot imposing these penalties on you, it's everyone else. The community decides what is right and wrong by choosing to report certain actions.

Someone has to be a victim...this is like someone hits me in the face & I go "ow that hurt" and you go SHUTUP CRY BABY!

And another thing, I am emotionally scarred by this, I loved playing league of legends, do you think it's easy for me to just quit something i've literally done for the past 4 years of my life?

It's not...but i'm being forced to because the community doesn't want me to have fun anymore. You guys have literally ruined all of the fun i've ever had,

It's not fun to walk on eggshells and be afraid that someone will just ban your account, even in this situation I was still walking on eggshells and it's not enough...now the only way to stop my account from being banned....

Is to just not play.

Actually I wouldn't consider any of that overly toxic, but somehow I doubt that's all there is to it, especially since he didn't screenshot the ticket but typed it out (and even if screenshotted there is always photoshop).

Hell even if that's all there was THIS game, you don't get a 2 week suspension out of nowhere...

That's never all there is to it. When two people present an argument to a third party, they always try to leave out a little bit of incriminating evidence for their side.

I have no issue with there being evidence towards me that justifies a 2 week suspension. My issue is with how riot responded to me...

I sent them the screenshot to show them how others treated me... & they sent me back the chat log...that just further illustrates my point in the screenshot.

They didn't say something like "well this game I can see how the malz going afk hurt you"

They said I was at FAULT!!

That how I responded to someone going afk and saying we should let the enemy win..in a ranked game

That because I responded to a malzahar who went afk and was being toxic who also told me if I told anyone about him being toxic they would LAUGH AT ME!! and there account would never be banned not even for one hour!!

That's what I have an issue with.

P.S. As for screenshotting the ticket, I copy pasted it over....I don't see the need to take a screenshot of my email...it's an email, copy paste is fine...

Well what it looks like here is Riot just chose a poor example to demonstrate why you got banned with this specific game. Though this post will probably be taken down as you are not allowed to show player names in this kind of situation.

And honestly, those 2 screenshots really don't prove anything. They show 2 lines of malzahar's words, and neither of them give any indication of the scenario as they were at the very end of the game. All we can see is what YOU say, and for all we know you just took the shot at the right time to frame him or you photo shopped it.

in my post is everything I said, they posted the log. The game lasted less than 20 minutes.

And the thing is, this game was over before it even started. The malz just goes afk and says "let them win"

I responded to him and apparently that's a reason to ban someone.

I did take a screenshot at the end...(I shouldn't have to do that, but I started doing it because players toxicity towards me was out of control)

but the real reason I took it is because he said "nothing will ever happen to me, I won't even be banned for an hour"

And ya know what he was right.

Riot chose to ban me instead of the guy who afk'd and troll'd everyone.

It's okay though i've decided to quit the game, sucks I do love the game but I hate the community & the people who own it.

SO i'm treating it as it is, league is run by a toxic company & a toxic community & I don't want to have any part in it anymore.

You guys win i'm throwing in the towel GG well played.
