Random skin from Riot today?

Did anyone else receive a random skin from rito today? I did, and i have no idea what for. I didn't take a screenshot of it, because i didn't think twice of it until after.

Is Rito finally giving out rewards for doing something? or is this just another "way to not piss off the community" skin.

There was a special deal going on last week during the event, where for every 6 Mystery "items" you bought (champion or skin) you would get a free Mystery Gift from Riot. And these mystery "items" could be bought for yourself or for a friend.
