Things my lower elo friend tells me that he just doesnt understand
Hes low silver been playing for a while im high diamond been playing for a while so here are things he just doesn't understand no matter how much I tell him and it holds him back alot so maybe this can help some of you lower elo lads.
Play the easy champions. He tells me "yasuo is easy they just get first blood somehow and snowball" 2-22 last two yasuo games. Just dont even play it. His yi and mf have 70% win rates go figure?
Not building correctly. He builds what he wants when he wants for pretty bad reasons. Always builds zz rot to try to push lanes when damage or tanky stats would do 30x as much as that niche item. Also not taking the right masteries due to "preference" when its just not as efficient.
Thinks there is a "preference" over what to do in the game. This is like a game of chess there will ALWAYS be a right decision. Deciding to go attackspeed over ad just because you "like it" will not help you in the slightest and will probably make you do less damage since you are not building efficiently.
Players think they know more than they do. Sure hes played for a while but most of his decisions are slow and not correct. The only way to get better is to acknowledge that you dont know what you are doing and work on improving it instead of saying "unlucky" when you just play bad.
Spam the champs you are good at. He is finally understanding this one since it clearly works. His best 3 champs are the easiest champs ever yi,mf,xin. Because you dont need to focus on mechanics you need to focus on improving and what to do in the actual game. Switching champions and roles just makes it harder for you to build muscle memory and its easier to just keep playing something you have played. Its why for reference alot of ssbm players will take one character as far as they can before having to switch out due to a matchup (obvious outlier would be m2k) Play like 2 champs each for primary and secondary and spam like 5 games in a row of them till you lose.
At the end of the day I think he cares about fun more than winning so its whatever but he will not climb very high and he will not do it as fast as he could if he would just listen to the extremely simple tips so maybe you guys can put them to use.
