League is 2-4 cores?

Intel released i3-7350k which can oc easily too 5ghz and it's hyper threaded. League only uses 2-4 cores I thought anyway, so the best cpu for league would be the fastest clock speed chips around. So the 7350k and the i7-7700k. The 7350k would outperform the non k i5s because the 40% increased clock speed right developers? Do you think you will increase the use of more threads cause I won't be buying an i3 if you guys are going to increase it to 6 or 8.
