7350k or i3-7100

Hey guys i'm planning on building a cheap rig and i'm stuck between the 7350k(4.2ghz) and the i3-7100(3.9ghz) Now i don't want to buy a z170(270) mobo which means i wont be able to oc the k series.

Would the 0.3ghz(12%) plus 1mb in the l3cache be worth the extra 80 or so $?

League is mostly utilising 2 cores, both are hyperthreaded but the 7350k is a monster in clock speed which would increase league performance. What do u guys think?

Essentially every benchmark puts 7350k from 19% to 26% ahead...

If your objective is just to play League, you won't notice a difference between the two because League could be run by a $10 toaster from Walmart.

If you can see yourself branching out and playing other games that may or may not need extra computing power, the performance differential between the i3-7350k and i3-7100 isn't that hot considering the price difference.

In other words, no.

Neither. Get a Ryzen 5 CPU (when they are released. It's just a bit more but is much better performance wise.
