Disconnecting

So i have a question for Riot, recently i have received 2 five game low priority queue bans because i have disconnected because of internet or computer problems, i got back into the second game where i was banned however i still received the ban, I simply wonder if it is possible for it to detect whether or not a player has disconnected or not.
