Why do people hate hex-tech crafting so much?

Rito is a company. They have 2 goals. First is to make us happy :). Second is to gain money. By adding hextech crafting, they make us happy by giving us free things, and they get money themselves! There is also the added bonus that it encourages people to stop being toxic. Malphite Then there are some people who overthink it and feel like rito is being extremely greedy by doing this. I don't think they are because they do get more money, but they also make us happier. It is a win-win scenario. League of legends isn't pay to win at all. They even removed purchasing runes with rp. item 1038

Because some people have spent tons of money and hours of game time getting every champion in the game and when they spend more money trying to get skins they get champion shards. It's a huge slap in the face to anyone who has taken the time/spent the money to collect all the champions over the years.
