The Nunu one trick should not have been banned

In this post I will explain why that the Nunu support should have never been banned according to Riots rules.

In "reporting a player", it says do not report a summoner for tactical disagreements. In this case, the Nunu thinks counter jungling will get them the win while the adc disagrees. Whoever is right, the person who is wrong should not be reported. It is also ironic that in the picture example, it is a swain that wants a Nunu to go support, while it implys that the Nunu doesn't support.

It also says do not report a summoner for not sticking to the metagame. The Nunu was not sticking to the metagame(aka going bot as supports usually do), but instead was counterjungling.

Counterarguments:

"The Nunu was not playing support" He was playing support, he was just not supporting the adc in the early game. He was supporting his jungler by messing up the other jungler and 3 man ganking other lanes.

"The adc was left to 1v2" If the Nunu was banned due to this and this was also the case in season 1, the jungle role would have never been created as the top laner had to 1v2 a lot of the time while the jungle role was getting more popular. We don't know if the meta right now is the best one, and players changing it up helps evolve the game

"It says play for the team in the summoners code" He was playing for the team, by helping his jungler and messing up the enemy one instead of helping the adc.

"He was forcing his team to play in a specific style" If this was actually enforced, that would mean all Tryndameres that split push all game, singed players who double proxy in base, and other things like this would also be bannable.

"The team did not want a roaming Nunu support, so he should not have gone it" If i wanted to play Urgot top, 3/4 times if I ask my team they will say no. Does that mean I can't play urgot?

I am up for a debate, so if you downvote I suggest you should put your reason why.

I disagree, if we follow the same reasoning that tactical disagreements are not bannable, then people stealing other people's roles in champ select is also not something that a person can be accounted for.

After all, the person deciding that they would be better suited as a mid than whoever queued up for it is also a tactical decision if the person who got auto-filled as support didn't think they would do well in that role.

It's all about imposing certain styles of play on other people. Would that be true if it were the other way around? Yes. But that's what the discussion before the game is for, to come to some agreement.

In the Nunu one-trick, there was no discussion. It was a statement that they were going to do X and that everyone better find a way to work around them.

Either-way, Riot has caved to the popular opinion and has lifted the remainder of the ban.

Downvoting. Repeating the same bull crap over and over again despite it having been debunked and not even the reason he was punished isn't debate. It's spamming.

If you are in Diamond/Master tier and you cannot play more than two champions you do not truly belong there. If all else fails like play Morgana, Karma or any of the other braindead mage supports that are easy and crap to play. If he legitimately cannot play those champs, then he shouldn't play support and he just stick to jungle.
