You don't even know the changes and you're already saying they suck... Also, nothing about malzahar is fun for the player or the enemy.

I actually kinda bet they will make his kit center around his voidlings more. That is clearly what makes him unique as a champion and his current kit really makes his voidlings feel kind of irrelevant, in my opinion. That is unless you go for AD Malzahar, then his abilities feel useless. I don't think this makes much sense. I do kinda like him the way he is, but I believe they will ultimately make it better.

So far on very quick initial thoughts.. My only gripe is with the R. They seem to have basically just moved null zones % dot to R, which for me the R damage was my one reliable way to counter 'burst assassins' that pop in, nuke you, and pop back out (zed, lb, etc) As moobeat said on pbe forum, you wont be able to burst squishies with ult anymore. I wonder what kind of total % damage will be attached to it. So now R will be less effective as being a counter for those burst assassins, more just delay your impending death until the suppress ends.

Perhaps its to allow for a more teamfight oriented play, leaving the null zone there for the benifit of its damage, the R does seem a tad overloading now though

I'm liking the new passive as it will make him a bit stronger against cc-reliant mids & definitely enjoy voidlings being an active. The only downside I see is how much shorter duration his ults suppression is, gonna be a bit harder against assassins.

im alright with taking the good with the bad, The passive is out of the blue i wasnt expecting it, but considering the burst some champions can do like Lb, its gonna be a huge benifit
