So yeah guys just made it to silver. Just asking if I will get the rewards although season ended? Also, on the next season, what are the chances of me doing the provisional matches and dropping back to bronze. Can I stay in silver? Noob questions but hey, someone's gotta ask x) Cheers, crazy
first: Congrats! unfortunately, you are in preseason so no rewards.
there are 10 placement matches. depending on how you do in them you will be placed. It very much matters in which order you win/lose as well. the first games weigh heavier on the placement scale. if you win your first 5 and lose the rest you will be placed substantially higher than if you lose the first 5 and win the rest.
All that said, even if you were placed back into bronze, you'll get back to silver in no time. You are already playing above bronze level, which you proved by leveling into silver. you'll have no prob getting back to your current level no matter your placement! Good Luck!
"End of Season Rewards" - season ended prior to you hitting Silver, so no border will be rewarded. Promo's are at the start of every season - you'll play and be sorted based on your record (according to some your previous rank is taken into account).
your mmr is taken into account. a way you can estimate where youll be placed is bsaed on how much lp you got on ranked games. if it was under 15 and you lost 20, most likely it will want to pull you back into bronze but i doubt itll happen to you. it will only pull you back to bronze if you completely ruin the 5 placement ranked matches
Generally from past experience you are going to be placed a tiny but lower than your current tier. So yes, you might be dropped back to bronze next season
