Made a League club at school, need help.

Okay, the club I made at my high school got approved and we will be having our first public meeting soon. There will be food n stuff and people were asked to bring in laptops if they wished to play. I was thinking this meeting could be to see how many people were interested in joining and have everyone get to know each other. First meeting, nothing too exciting. I was wondering if anyone here had any other ideas that could make our first day exciting. Should I do a greeting speech? I'm not so sure on how I'm gonna do this... any suggestions would be nice.
