This isn't about League at all.

Earlier yesterday at this point, well-known animator and RT staff member Monty Oum died. This man had been animating and doing motion capture for years before joining RoosterTeeth, and is quoted as saying he enjoyed working at RT the best because he could stay till 3 in the morning and just work, and blast music, and choreograph scenes for upcoming videos, with no questions asked because they knew it was his heart and soul.

I don't know if this'll get any notice or not, but do something creative in memory of Monty Oum. My own contribution was I made a teardrop necklace, and an axe head (completely related) out of a broken aluminum stove frame. Neither of them are high quality, but I'm proud of the work, and the reason for why I did it.

I'm so sad... what will happen to RWBY? I heard there were at least 7 seasons planned...

Well it's a shame, he shouldn't have over-worked himself That hard and really watch out for allergy.

He didn't, or rather, it wasn't the work that got to him. It was an allergic reaction.

I added that on, soz edit didn't come that fast.

It is fine, though, I doubt he knew he had the allergy, or knew what he was being given would have done so.

Actually it could've been overwork, since we have no idea why he had to undergo the medical procedure in the first place.

True.

Hey guys, my point in posting this is to spread the news, and do something creative to remember him by. Do both, and maybe we could start a ripple on the Web.

He actually died of an allergic reaction not overwork.

I actually cried about this earlier today. This is really saddening. I consumed his content when I was in junior high, and was so happy when I heard that he got hired to Roosterteeth. Seeing him around the office during their various videos, and hearing him in the podcasts...I mean, this guy was the Bruce Lee of animation. He was deeply philosophic and wanted people to constantly better themselves. The tribute video that Roosterteeth made of his work, and the things he said really got to me. Hell, I'm rambling right now through teary eyes. I seriously loved his work, even if I didn't watch all of it, and I certainly respect the kind of person that he was. If you haven't seen Egoraptors eulogy for him, you should check it out here.

RIP Monty Oum, you will be missed.
