Refunds and the Lack of Generosity of Riot

I am quite salty to the fact that it's so hard for riot to do some small favors for League of Legends players, especially around refunds on skin purchases. I am aware they don't want us to abuse the use of refund tokens (You get bored of a skin, you refund it for a new one). But when I first came into the game, I wasted my refund tokens on something like master yi, teemo, and some cheap skin like panda teemo? All I remember is I was uneducated on the use of these refund tokens. This all happened during season 3, and it's been so long since Riot even mentioned the refund tokens. I read in something on Surrender at 20, where someone asked if we will get refund tokens, and riot responded saying that the majority of the community chose free content over more tokens. I don't remember ever taking a poll or being asked if I wanted "free content" or more refund tokens. I know, this is a salty thread, but try seeing how this is unfair. There are skins I didn't even intend to purchase (One being the new shop, which purchases things with less steps which I wasn't accustomed to, and the other being a friend purchasing a skin while I was AFK). The lack of more refunds is due to all the free stuff they are giving through events and the Hextech Crafting system. They have to choose one or the other because they are a business after all, and players prefer the free content over a couple extra refunds.

Lack of generosity seems a little overboard. I can understand being frustrated about using the refunds before you knew better but riot does a lot of little generous things for this community. Especially when you compare them to most of the other game companies out there, saying they have a lack of generosity just because of this seems a tad bit entitled (for lack of a better word).
