Easy answer.
Linux is built around a community of people who design their OS from peacemeal modules that build an 'OS'. It is also also built around a community that historically self-supports due to the variety of different builds it has.
PRoviding official 'Linux Support' is a misnomer, because there is no official version of Linux. There're as many different versions of Linux as their are Linux users, so supporting them is essentially a futile endeavor.
I agree that League of Legends should be on linux since linux is becoming the new gaming os
