Question on Hextech Chests

So I've been wondering, and finally got my answer on the hextech crafting page on the chests.

It says that you can only earn 1 chest on a champion PER SEASON, why is that Rito? I can't really think of a reason why you would limit someone to only getting 1 chest on a champion every, what is it year? cause when I play a champ a lot and do good on them and I don't get a chest I get sad cause I kinda need those chests to get the champion shards/skins for my level 6 and 7 :(

Just thought I'd through this question out there into the aether.

The cap is there to encourage people to play numerous different champs well rather than only being really good at one - otherwise chests would be obtained too easily.
