New Item to Replace Revive

So, it's been a while since Riot killed revive, and in the interest of "Strategic Diversity" a new item should be made to replace it. Although items which strive towards the Goal of "Strategic Diversity", such as and have not been largely picked up in pro gameplay, an item such as this could have great potential. If balanced correctly, and given stats outside it's active "revive" ability that would impact game play in a relevant way, this item could be a massive item to be picked up in all tiers of gameplay.

TL;DR An item with the active ability of "revive" would work for strategic diversity, and be relevant in game.

Remember, if you would like to see this item become an in-game reality, please up vote this thread. In order for Riot to make this happen there needs to be sufficient player feedback/interest.

No, an item where when you die, you die, but you can use to revive you from base. Just like revive did.

Why? Revive was removed for a reason, I doubt people would build this item when GA already exists. The only players that would get a lot of use out of it would be top laners, and while it might be useful for a late-game nexus defense, people would just sell their GA or defensive item for this for the active.

I'm not really seeing the appeal here.

Revive was removed because it's long cool down, and because when you can only have two summoner spells, something with a long cool down and non-essential ability will not be chosen. However, on this item the cool down could be less and it would have practical stats for combat, such as armor, mr, cdr, or something. Revive was impractical because other summoner spells are needed and the cool down. This would be practical because it is an item, it has other stats, and the cool down would be reduced.

I think this would be an interesting idea if there was a reason to take it over Guardian Angel.

Late game Nexus defense, and GA is only helpful if your team is still there. Generally speaking by the time you are revived the team fight is over, and you are just going to get killed again.
