Make end of season rewards for your best highest, not where you end up at. That's anti-fun.

After playing this game since release, I've finally made it to gold. I made it up to gold 4, in my series to 3, and failed the series. I've now gone on a mega losing streak back down to gold 5, zero points. I've lost several games at zero points (on top of my now terrible hidden MMR, I'm sure).

I am actually considering quitting the game for the season so that I don't fall back down to silver and miss out on the rewards.

This is an anti-fun mechanic.

I whole-heartedly agree. World of Warcraft does it that way, and it seems to make a lot more sense. Given the way they currently do it, I know people who hit Gold/Plat and just end their season there without even pushing for higher rankings. It's sad that they'll never know how far they could've gotten just because they don't want to drop rank and lose the loot they're already guaranteed.

It's why I never pushed past gold 5 in past seasons. I know I'm not a very good player so when I hit gold I hoped for a good victorious skin.

I don't care about ranked as much as I did before and they won't release information on the upcoming skin until it's almost handed out so I don't even know if I want it.

sooooooo...whatever.

yo so you climb up once and then start troll and get away with it.

i can only imagine how many people would simply ruin games with a "i get my rewards anyway" attitude once they climbed up.

it would only result in toxic games especially at the end of the season where some players try to hardcore climb but others simply ruin it for them with a "i don't care anyway" attitude.

so no thanks.
