How can Poros survive in nature? (VERY IMPORTANT)

I mean wtf. Look at these little shits. They are litterally just a furry head with super small legs and useless horns that wouldn't hurt anything. How can these creatures survive in nature? And how can they defend themselves against predators? Do they have special super powers? Or is Braum one of the most effective protective supports ever, by constantly defending an entire species against just about everything?

What do they eat? Berries or something? And how can they multiply? What is Rito hiding under all that fur?

The only useful things about these small furry things, is that they can be thrown at full force at enemies, probaly hurting themselves more than whoever they are thrown at, and if you violently kill enough of these, their big daddy will drop down for the sky and suicide against the enemy base for no real reason. Until he dies, and another one drops down and sieges yours.

Also, how the fuck can they fly in Santa Braums recall? I mean wtf Rito tell us.
