Yasuo Q and Smart/Quick-Cast Interaction

I've been using smart-cast ever since about a year ago and I like how I am able to hold my QWER to see the range and change its direction before I fire. (Like Aim and Fire) However, with Yasuo's Q, it doesn't show the range for it and it frustrates me that it doesn't. It still acts as a quick-cast without the range indicator. One thing I noticed is that if I click the ability Q in the HUD, it will act as a Aim and Fire. Is there any underlying systematical reason why it's not showing the range indicator and not acting as a hold-and-release ability when it should be, a bug or something just overlooked?
