Well... if you get a lot of assists with Shen due to his ult, it's not terrible to have one AP item.

Gnar's W scales off ap so it will actually really hurt. Get a nashors tooth and it's not too bad, I would never ever ever recommend playing it outside a custom game but it's a fun change of pace sometimes from the straight tank.

Welp... You need a better comparison that mejais on shen as he does atleast scale with ap...lol I better example would be building a rabbadon's on garen :p
