kile1471 votesIs that your standard build? I usually forgoe the extra AP ratios to get more durability in the form of Zhonyas or even Banshees, but I can definitely see that being strong. My only issue is that Luden's procs aren't really needed, so if I want another ratio in my kit I'd probably get protobelt instead.
A Superb Villain2 votesGoodness, no! That's just my build when i'm feeling cheeky. It's not optimal, but it does work, and Lichbane autos can take some people by surprise, you just shouldn't be in range to actually make the most use of its procs.
My standard build is something like this: with 
being selected based on the situation and enemy comp.
kile1472 votesSo Ludens is core for you then? I prefer Rylai's as my core item because I prefer slowing the enemy to going faster myself. The occasional extra damage also just seems unnecessary given how hard Veigar destroys already.
A Superb Villain2 votesRylais' slow is powerful relative to Luden's movement speed boost, and the extra durability is a nice bonus. I simply prefer Luden's over Rylais most of the time, but not all, due to it's passive benefit. Slows only affect enemies, but more movement speed means getting to a fight or good position faster, it makes dodging skillshots or dancing outside an enemy's range easier. Luden's is useful both in and out of combat, while Rylais' only shines in combat, though Rylais' is stronger with current balance.
That said, I do pick Rylais over Luden if I know damage is unavoidable, typically against dive-heavy or mobile comps.

I exaggerated on the guides. I actually use Mobafire quite often and I appreciate the time of the people that write them.
My point is that I have heard people tell me that in game, and though guides for Brand do list the item, they are usually listed as situational items yet they mistake situational as build every game. Especially if the core is only two or three items and they need to fill out the rest of the build. I am guilty of this so I know it is done.
So my first thought is that these people don't know the most effective items, yet they muat have heard it from somewhere. Mobafire is the first guide I thought of so I put that.
Perhaps I should have just said Recommended Items lol. Thanks for pointing it out.

Attack speed and crit are definitely not the primary stats you want on Fiora, you shouldn't just be straight auto attacking a lot. So I'm assuming you get the PD for the passive

I mean I don't play a lot of Fiora, but doesn't her kit consist of one dash, a CC parry on huge CD, an AA modifier and an ult that requires you to either Q or AA the enemy? That sounds like a lot of AA to me.
KatCraft1 votesFiora's damage is about auto resetting with her abilities, a-q-a-e-q if you are playing her right then you get very little from attack speed. If you watch good Fiora players you aren't brainlessly rightclicking your opponent to death like Master Yi or Tryndamere.
Her goal is to try and proc her ulti, if you build full damage you will almost never achieve this against decent players. And if you don't successfully parry all the cc on the enemy team you are straight up dead.
Allows you to still deal ridiculous true damage and melt squishies and tanks, while giving you survivability in a team fight and allow you to more reliably proc off the heal in your ult.
One of her greatest strengths is that she is not required to build full damage to be effective, you should take advantage of this.

. People always just think ex is just a slow but it's so much more. It's a slow, lowers their mr/ar, lowers their AS and lowers their damage output by 40%. I win most 1v1 with those SS plus their team has a fed member? no problem, let me deal with them with ex.

abdul5691 votesinstead of ignite? meaning you use flash instead of ghost? I feel like, with the way his ult works ghost is almost always superior to flash. His kill potential is always extended with everything being damage over time rather than all in one burst so having a SS that caters to your need to have extended fights (10 whole seconds worth of speed buff). One main reason is that ghost has a much lower CD. Oh your oppoenent is chasing you? let me give you hope while still being in range for my ult to heal off you b4 having enough MS to turn around and get you if needed Your opponent is running away after a fight? Unless you also have ghost, I will almost always be able to catch up to you with ghost. Still not enough? exhausting your ass, then throwing out the lazerbird allowing an easy snare if they dont flash and after that you still have ghost (lasts for 10 seconds!) to catch up. Getting ganked and you are closer to their turret than yours? You can ghost through the sides and they won't catch up generally without hard cc or burning a few flashes themselves or if it's a clown fiesta of 4 people ganking you. Flash for Ghost? Great now you get your ss quicker for the next fight.
TLDR Try removing the need for flash, replacing it with ghost, and your options become much greater. Going top lane? take tp. Going against a team that can easily catch you out? flash 2nd choice. got a high sustainer as an opponent (vlad etc)? ignite. Facing an in your face champ (yas, zed etc)? go exhaust facing a champ that can out range/burst you? barrier.
Because in the end you need to be at a certain distance to be effective as swain and flash doesn't really cater to his need of an extended fight and avoiding unnesescary damage while ulting (with ghost it is much easier to avoid skill shots).
Sorry if my talk was a bit too much. Am passionate about swain and helping others become better at the champ I love is also great. Tell me how your games go if you decide to follow my advice of replacing glash with ghost
