Yes, because the ADC needs their egos inflated when they're effectively an infant who needs a support to change his diapers and help teach him to walk. Supports deserve praise too, because without them, the ADCs would be pissing themselves in the corner, rocking and sucking their thumb.

ADC's only need others because of the situation, plenty of ADC's have been strong solo laners. They only need help because the opportunity in bot lane is greater than other lanes early.

But supports still deserve credit for their hard work, because in the circumstances of bot lane they are indeed the reason ADC's get to do anything in the game.

The only ADC that I can think of who has strong solo lane is Quinn , and she isn't even considered an ADC by many.

Corki has an insanely strong solo lane (not quite as strong since they fixed his auto-attacks, but still really strong), Graves is strong against most melee champs except assassins (I know people who play him solo top for this reason). Jhin is a solid pick mid-lane if you are against specific champs and are good with him. Vayne top, while not hugely popular, is a strong pick against anyone who either has no engage or has to ult to engage. Lulu, while not technically an ADC, can be played as such almost anywhere just as effectively (and sometimes more so) as when played as a mage.

Supports definitely deserve credit, but so many people overestimate it still.. They are very important but they doesn't make ADCs useless dinguses who can't do anything. It's the support and ADC having cohesion, not one being more important/skilled than the other, that really makes a good lane.

Or maybe I'm just taking people too seriously...

Both skill and teamwork (and synergy between champs) are important. If I work amazingly well with my ADC as a support (which is rare for me, I really need to work on that part of playing support), but they are absolutely horrible, always calling bad plays and getting caught out of place, then no amount of skill on my part, or even working well with them, can save that lane. The reverse is also true if the support is bad and the ADC is good, although not usually to the same degree.

This attitude is either extremely mature, or extremely childish, I'm not sure which without further context...

In general, any truly good player shouldn't need praise unless they did something exceptional, because they'll know they did well, and don't need people to tell them this. This type of attitude is even more important when playing support, because almost nobody tells them they did well, and they usually get no credit whatsoever.

There was a game today where I played MF and everyone on my team got an S, except the support. And they really were the reason we won bot and won the game in general, was such a kickass Karma . I told them they were S to me :)! I love all my supports, you deserve medals for putting up with a Wood VII ADC (YEA THATS ME.)

Now, to a separate note, how many kills did your support get? It's almost impossible to get an S rank as a support without at least one kill for some reason I can't fathom (unless you're playing an insanely off-meta support like Ekko or Lissandra).

Tbh, an amazing Lulu I had last game went like 1/0/24 out of 48ish kills and got an A- :^( I praised the crap out of that, so it's all good.

Anyways, bless to all the support mains out there. I know you get a ton of trash talk by the lanes you babysit. :^P

The problem is that the game treats the K/D/A the same for supports as other roles, it needs to value assists higher than kills for them, as that's what matters more in most cases. That, and I see a lot of Lulu supports who end up going mage late game and getting a lot of kills.

i played 2 games as janna with the same guy playing kalista adc (no i wasnt duo, was just luck that i found him again) and holy fk, that dude was great at ~~cancer~~ kalista, he carried my team in both games

I had a game as Janna where the enemy not and thier jungler tried to tower dive me after my adc died and was screaming for my team to report me

I walked away from that 3v1 with a triple kill because of the prediction Qs and outplays with flash, shield, exhaust and the slow from W, the R nock back helped as well but if I used it for the heal I would adore from positioning

My team reported my adc for flaming afterwards

Watch me play as support with an adc and watch me play adc with an support. Most of the time support doesn't help at all, no pressure, no helping to farm, no warding, no follow up, stay forward too long. I hate this support shit where people are like "wow no one recognizes the support" cause usually the supports I play with aren't recognizable.

It's more about the cohesion of the two bot lane early game than whoever is the best. Someone write about this in this subject. Also, when you are in mid-game and late game, the team must come together as 5. We can then see the adc attack while the tank or fighter, who was top early, peel for them. Yep, team game. ^^

I play ADC occasionally, and when I do I sometimes get supports who are... preemptive in their apologies. It has ranged from the support getting a kill to taking a single minion. To give an example, I was playing Corki once upon a time, and had a Janna support. Janna accidentally took a kill while we were trading with the enemy laners. She immediately practically dropped on her hands and knees and begged for forgiveness. I told her that it was fine, that a support shouldn't be shackled to my whims just because I play a carry. She was dumbstruck to say the least. This happens less often than more, but I do see this more often: I'll give a support credit for a good play or helping secure a kill very well. Then they seem a bit confused for a minute before thanking me. Feels good.
