Pantheon's counterplay begins and ends at being outside of his range.

You can make Camille waste her Q2 by simply walking away, W and E are dodgable, and R punishes you for being on your own against a Champion with excellent 1v1.

Yasuo's Windwall has an obscene CD that you should be abusing, his Q is dodgable (though fast), his Q3 is dodgeable, and he relies on minion waves to dash around.

I'm not saying that Yasuo and Camille arent frustrating, but Pantheon is one of the lowest-counterplay Champions in the game.

I agree, and I play Panth religiously. I kinda wish Riot would change him up a bit, but I think his lategame is enough to balance him out.

Reav3 said a while ago that they're looking to give him the full VGU (Poppy/Sion) treatment, though no idea when.

Personally, I think visuals-wise, they just need to fix his fucking pizza feet. However, as much fun as Pantheon is to me, I can still understand why he's so unfun to lane against.

I like him thematically, but playing him is so stressful because I feel like I have to do incredibly well early or I'm just useless past the 20 minute mark.

I'd love a VGU for our resident God of War and Spartan Shout-Out.

Armor doesn't work vs him because he just spams arm.pen items. Hell, even with cloth+4 pots, he still bullies you out lane easily.

It's funny because waiting for thirty minutes is the only viable counterplay.

He doens't just get lethality. He gets yoummus to make diving even easier and make everyone's life harder while ignoring more of your armor, but will most of the time rush black cleaver.

Either way, he ignores armor. It's the same complaints that you would have from any other assassin. But pantheon isn't an assassin.

He gets cleavers first, unless he needs youmuus.

I see people getting dirk first, then cleavers, and boots somewhere in the middle, before finishing up youmuus.

Might've been more accurate to say serrated dirk.

That, combined with the arm.pen from masteries(and sometimes runes, flat AD is prob better), ignore the item 1029 item 1031 and maybe even item 3047 early. You have to keep building armor, but he just topples it with item 3071 . Basically, he will outitemize you until he's irrelevant, at 30 mins(usually more earlier than that, but same idea)

I main the guy and people always say he falls off like a brick after 30mins, never had that happen to me, item 3071 item 3156 item 3158 item 3065 item 3742 item 3142 , I'm tanky still deal a lot of damage and remain relevant even into 50mins, but with the way damage is now, what game lasts over 30mins anymore?

I go with the same build, except I go AS boots or Merc Treads, and I switch youmuu's with Ravenous/DD, depending on whether or not I need more tanky or more damage.

pretty sure he has the highest base ms in the game not to mention his ult

he isnt your kha or yasuo dashing like a mad man but TP pantheon is basically a shen who wants to kill you over saving his team

I play TP Pantheon to save my team though ;-; Ignite Panth is when I just want to stalk the other top-laner all game (aka, when I'm playing against a Yasuo or Riven)

Edit: have you played smite/ignite panth in the jungle before? It's insanely fun imo, especially when you build skirmisher's instead of stalker's

i use to be really big into pantheon but i only played him to cheese the all hell out of my lane with ignite and mid/jungle with my ult.

i never needed ignite in the jungle with him because imo its just over kill on what pantheon does already manly ass damage.
