Honestly, idiots who ping I'M ON MY WAY, I'M ON MY WAY 4 - 5 times when they're nowhere near yet and are only halfway in the river need to stop jungling. How many fucking times i've died because i've engaged on instinct and had no support from the Jungler..
Bad map awareness. It happened to me also. I mean you should consider jungler pinging omw won't come not at the right moment, not at all. Especially in lower elo.
Pinging that he's coming doesn't mean he is there dumbass. It literally means he is coming; not there. Look at the map.

I like to look at the inverse too (as a jungler myself):
laner requests help I ping on the way laner has stroke before im in river or tribush "An Ally Has Been Slain" /all "this jungler has downs"
Literally why I mute all every game now and just use pings to communicate.
That's why I usually just stand there and if they end up coming wait until the gank is completely telegraphed an recognized and once the enemy laner starts to run away I feebly chase after them completely out of the fight.
Is that not how you're supposed to do it?

Gotta love being baited by your own team. My favorite is when i'm the team initiator and we have a 4v2 situation. I go in and then see that my other three teammates decided to go off to do who knows what. :P
