Ether your team was crazy good, or the enemy team is just really dumb.
Faced an all roaming enemy team comp before. It was likely the single most annoying thing I've lost to >_>
I've been that other team, with a 
jungle, 
top and 
mid.
The plan was something along the lines off "Malphite gets the ball, Malphite ults the backline, Orianna ults centered on Malphite, Yasuo has the happiest field day of his life".
Malphite was missing his ults. Lemme re-type that: MALPHITE DIDN'T HIT ANY ENEMY CHAMPIONS WHEN HE ULTED. Orianna then proceeded to ult 1 or 2 people at best. Yasuo was melted by a non-cced enemy team as he ulted. I swear it was like getting the three stooges on my team.

I have a feeling this happens the most when everyone gets their best role and picks their main regardless of what everyone else picks, and your mains don't work together.

I never understand team comps. People are like 'wow this team comp is really good' and what not and I run through all the champs' abilities, but nothing jumps out at me. "I mean, we have some stuns, I guess? We could... er... chain them?"
We once did a premade troll team where we played only primary supports (we lost but could have won).
Oh I love it when the crazy stuff works out over the super meta team. Recently I got matched with a 4-man premade that all called support so I did the responsible thing and also called support and locked in Soraka to their Jungle Braum, and Blitz/Thresh bot and somebody top but I forget. We stomped that game.
More recently I got my friends to do an all arcade skins game so it was MF/Sona bot Veigar Mid, Hec jungle, Riven top. That was aweseome.
And then years and years ago my friends and I in a 4-man did Maokai / Rammus / Garen / And some other huge tank and the player we got matched with picked Sona so we told her "Go mid, this strat always works everytime" but we had never done it before. We all took Teleport/Fortify and completely shut down the enemy team from pushing while tanking so hard they couldn't do anything to full AP Season 2 Sona. It was a nightmare for the enemy team.
This one game I had gotten this:

and then....
Urgot ADC Supportlesticks
I ended up going 9/2, Skarner went 10/1, Sion went 11/3, Urgot went 14/2, and Supportlesticks went 7/3
It was a weeeeeeiiiiirrrrrddd game.
I once went against a team with a ad malz jungle. Nobody knew how to deal with it and we got steamroled lol
I once ended up as 
Support and as I recall the rest of the team was similarly weird. We stomped. I dunno how.

I faced a team that built a team comp thats good in ARAM for SR, and then stayed Mid lane the whole game unless our other laners were at the inner / inhib turrets.
I lost to that team.. I tilted so hard after that.
Thing is...this actually works
I once had a game where I was JG (don't remember who I played, probably Poppy). Our top lane was Darius (who "didn't want to win") and our tank Akali. I don't remember our mid. And we had a Yasuo bot lane. We won.
My brother faced an all-marksman team and lost. He would be able to wipe them out ( he was Viktor) but his teammates couldn't stick on their targets much (he had immobile tanks, I don't remember who). Sad day, lol.

I heard there was a time when you could make a good comp out of just about any combo of champs. Sounds nice but I have yet to see 
like ever.

Not really a team comp but here's some funny bot lane duos that actually worked out when playing with my friend when we were high:

Sometime in season three, a friend and I went Veigar/LeBanc duo jungle (It was a 5 man premade). We killed the enemy jungler at their second buff and proceeded to stomp the ret of the game. We don't know how it worked, and we never did it again
This takes me back into the days of Season 4. I was level 20 and was playing trying out free week . We didn't have a jungler, but our comp was like this:

As you can see the match was basically us misfits against hardcore tryhard strategists.
Being 2v1 we abused the shit out of Irelias early game and i scored First blood. Bot lane fed 0/8 in the first 6 minutes. Yi curbstomped Ziggs (back when Ziggs was nearly 55% win rate. Guess low levels didn't knew how to abuse his OPness). Me and Teemo dominated Top. Teemo got a double kill when Evelynn came to gank.
Enemy team was in shambles. Yi and Teemo roamed bot multiple times and Ashe went from 0/5 to 11/5. At the end of the game Ashe went 17/6 or smth like that and i was the unkillable tank Singed. Guess kiting and peeling was basically non existant in low levels. We never raged that bot was loosing so hard, we kept trying our hardest, enemy team asked to report Top and bot lane in all chat. I got 3 honors from my team and 1 honor from enemy team. Guess one of my low level highlights. Thanks for the post OP, you really made my day. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] [zombie-brand-clap]
