My thoughts on Solo Q

"All I know is my gut says maybe!"

The neutral response does seem to be the right way to go right now. Yes, Riot dropped the ball on communication harder than the than the ball on new year's during a last minute leap year. Yes, they pretty much said "we know there are problems, but it's likely you are going have just deal with it for a while".

But if everything falls into place as Riot hopes, then SoloQ won't even be necessary since players can get exactly what they want a good 99% of the time. If not, then it's likely Riot will do what they normally do when they screw up, which is backtrack on the changes just enough to say "it wasn't a complete failure", but still more or less be back to square one.

Either way, we aren't going to know how this plays out now. We are going to have to wait and see what happens down the road as they try to tackle problems.
