When I ping MIA, they die anyway...
and they still ask where the MIA is. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ln6129VDUy1qlyf4io1_250.gif

: OMFG NO MIA
: I did....
Oh....well ping more next time omfg this noob mid gg
pings MIA 3 times pings the bot with no wards to back up twice
sees them die about 10 seconds later
"No MIA mid noob"
"I pinged"
"Say something next time, I have my speakers muted and don't care about ping"
Actually had at least a dozen people give that response.
Once my teammate pinged MIA, I got ganked and on instinct I asked where the MIA was, then immediately remembered they just pinged .__. http://cdn.inquisitr.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/awkward.gif
One time I pinged Xin top my lane was missing. I pinged my lane, then the space between my lane and top, and then I pinged top lane. My jungler also pinged 'Danger' before my lane showed up.
I almost thought it was a joke and laughed when he said, "Omfg call mia".
Of course, since he was Challenger level, it was my fault somehow, even though I told him to look at the chat logs that clearly showed all of my pings.
Would you believe me if I said this happened twice? He wasn't quite so blunt the second time, but he was still trying to put the blame on me, which I just found hilarious.
Personally, as a support main I feel that everyone should be responsible for watching the map and their own lane, and warding when they can (even if only with their trinkets). Although I think the MIA ping is a great tool and use it almost every time I lose vision of my enemy laner(s), I still expect people not to need "MIA" typed up in chat to know who is missing and who isn't.
It seems best to take a mentality of "I could get ganked at any moment" and prepare accordingly. You don't always have to do this if you can see all 5 enemies or know where they are, but playing safe is always good in this game. That's why people make such a big deal of not pushing excessively after all.
My point is that they should be thinking about it anyway. they're lucky I pinged at all. I never rely on others to ping mia I just look at my map see it. and whenever I plan on diving someone or overextending I keep in mind where the other champions are.
LOL I actually had my Ez ADC do this to me when we were losing badly.
: Notices 2 in top jg coming towards bot to gank us. Proceeds to ping mia 3x
:adc proceeds to go gank mid through the river
pings two more times, calling mia and careful
: Dies 1v2
: "Omfg thanks for the ping supp"
" I called mia 4 times "
: " This supp is soo bad she just watches me die "
:Mutes my ADC for the rest of the game
Our Mid laner "I didn't see mia pings"
During another game
: Warded the bush in enemy territory right next to the golems camp
: goes to steal blue
: immediately dies to
before i ping danger on reflex (Even though there would have been no way for me to call that any sooner since by the time we had vision on him it was going to be too late anyway..i mean..srsly?...)
: "wow thanks for the late warning supp"
: <_<.......
You would think some junglers would be more careful when going deep into the enemy jungle to take the other teams buffs....
3 pings :enemy missing, enemy missing, be careful, it works a lot
Help.. I can't-- breathe-- nostalgia is.. choking me-- cough cough
this is why i love playing as tahm. when someone ping i just force my adc out of lane when they don't fall back. but even if people mute the game, i'm pretty sure people do see the ping text in chat or the rippling effect on the mini map anyway unless they are completely oblivious to stuff. don't see a problem with no sound.
Pings and text by themselves are not a valid form of communication in a TEAM MOBA.
Voice is required.
Any argument against this is wrong.
Science.
I haven't quite decided if I will continue pinging like crazy WHENEVER I see something... I even watch the map and ping whenever I see the enemy jungler... look at me (the tri-hard) OR If I will give up entirely on pinging and just go out for my lonesome because I either get flamed because I ping too much or I get flamed anyways because no one pays attention to my pinging....
No the worst is when you ping MIA and they reply "I know" but they still die, but "You knew right?"
This happens to me too often.
Yeah I kinda agree that one ping is often hard to notice... Especially if someone is pinging something else or something particularly distracting is happening in lane. If there are 2 pings I will always notice, but every once in a while I'll miss it if there's only one.
And if I know where they're going, you best believe I am going to keep pinging as long as it looks like they haven't noticed.
Havent seen Ezreal joke, is everyone tired of it?
THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME TO ME. I SPAM PING SO MUCH , when i say i spam pinged and u still tried to fight and die they just come up with the lamest excuses
generally you should ping where you think they're headed. its bothersome when someone pings cuz their lane recalled to buy.
or when you ping once, then ping again a little later and the lane acts like they only heard the second one and is like "late mia there"
I swear, the only thing the missing ping does is stops me from getting blamed when my teammates die and it barely does that.....
