There was a time where toplane was a constant brawlfest, walk into lane = you fight, go for CS = you fight. That's what made me main top lane in the first place, it was beyond fun. Both laners were tanky enough to fight eachother to a standstill, but doing that risks a gank. Now it's simply who has the most true damage.

Try to constantly force brawls with your lane opponent top results in one of 5 things:

Lane opponent just starts farming the jungle.
The jungler ganks and you die
The midlaner roams top and you die.
The midlaner top and you die. (TP meta is starting to get old)
Enemy top teleports under his turret the moment your botlane overextends and gets a double kill.

Overall the current meta is favoring early skirmishes and teamfights so you really can't 1v1 anymore, aggressive laners are in a bad spot. Really the only one who works these days is Gnar simply because he has range and multiple ways to escape ganks.

raises hand This is totally me. To a true Nasus player, your lane opponent is nothing but a distraction and an annoyance. They are only worth six stacks, no more than a canon minion. Not worth the effort.

It's how I play Zilean mid after level 7. Drop double bombs to clear wave then just go afk or harass someone else.

To be fair that's how you're supposed to play Nasus. Rush resists so you can stack without worrying about harass.

If a Nasus is trying to actually fight you before he has 500 stacks then he's wasting his time.

Nasus, I currently trying to main renekton went aginist a Nasus he just ignored me and went for stacking q. At lvl three for each time he tries to stack he loses half hp. Renekton tanks so even under a turret I damage him and deal the damage of the turret shot I took. Hate when my enemy ignore me. Nasus u can't farm as long as I'm there!

Well whenever renekton stops and begins to walk again he says "Nasus u can't escape me forever!" Why does renekton wanna kill his brother so badly, is revenge really more important than their brotherhood?
