Those would be called the Fauld, its meant to protect the hips, Leona's armor is also very decorative, so they are hella fancy. I'm not too sure about riven tho. ps, props for the RWBY gif

Anime has been using computer graphics for some years now, and even going full CGI. Just because it's not done by hand doesn't mean it's not anime.

I think he means that, strictly speaking, anime is a term used for Japanese animations; RWBY is made by roosterteeth.

It's same reason you will get yelled at for calling Avatar or Korra anime.

Of course it was our joke, since everybody who ever used that term, was actually an anime hobbyist.
