Even after mustering up the courage to play ranked up to my goal, it was a relief to know I wouldn't have to do it again this season unless I really wanted gold.
I can wait another season for Gold lol.

Pew Pew Lasers2 votesHow the fuck did you get out of Silver 5? Took me forever to get out. Matchups where it was like Wood 5 vs Diamond 1's... and I was on the wood team 50% of the time, essentially trapping me in a constant win, lose, win, lose, win, lose...
I ended up in Silver 5 in the first place because Remake didnt exist yet, 4/10 games had an immediate afk, 2/10 had rage quitters in the first 10 minutes, the remaining 4 went really well with all wins. At one point I had 3 in a row after 3 losses in a row giving me hope I might not get a horrible placement. But yeah 6/10 of my placement games were complete throwaways.
Also I just finished a Silver 2 game and the enemy team was serious wood. We steam rolled them so hard and thats saying something since top and jungler did not communicate properly about lane swapping. Quite frankly if I wasnt a fed Sona their Lux would have carried them to victory because my team was pure squishes and they kept getting caught in her QER combo. Which anyone knows is face melting death if you're not a tank.

I never was in Silver V. As I mentioned earlier my placement matches put me in Silver IV.
I practiced a lot in normals before I started ranked to get myself a head start, but yeah the feeling is good when you see your blank unranked emblem turn into a shiny silver emblem.
I was mostly matched with Silvers, and I did well even in games I lost due to being the carry but falling to their fed ADC or bruisers (Irelia was a big one. Could 1v3 after our inexperienced Ekko fed her top.)
I only remember feeding in one game against a LeBlanc as Brand. I expected to stomp her like I did the last LeBlanc i faced, but this one was obviously smarter.
I got 3 deaths before I finally started rushing Abyssal and farming under tower, but by then mid game started and while I could make short work of the enemy ADC and support, she would always distort over a wall to murder me before the big teamfights started.
As it turned out the LeBlanc was a gold.
Yeah, I know Lux's power, using her the most when I was starting LoL. A full combo could kill anyone but the tanks, and by then the rest of my team would murder them.
But yeah, good luck getting to gold and beyond.
Pew Pew Lasers1 votesSilver 2 is proving to be a bit more troublesome than I was hoping. I've started to run into the same issues I was having in Silver 5, constant wood vs diamond games, no equality to matchups at all. Silver 3/4 I found matches pretty even, even if I won most of them. It didnt feel like one side just picked up the game yesterday. I know my lack of skill in some areas negatively affect gameplay from time to time but as a support my bad performance rarely hold any sway in the direction the game just as my good performances do. Usually what most affects how well I do is how well my ADC plays. If he's not getting kills, I'm not getting assists, so no gold. If he's not supporting my poking so I dont get stomped, no gold again.... and exp if they lock me down and kill me. All that meaning I'm way behind in gold. Between a good adc and a bad adc with just poke protection can mean a 1k gold difference on just my 
alone at 20m.
Irelia is a strong top, especially once she starts getting tanky and I find people struggle to deal with her because they dont build the appropriate items to deal with her. But that could be said about any bruiser.
As for LB its best to build a tankier build to survive her burst. I know I have the same issue as a support. She'll hide somewhere, wait for a squishy, sometimes me, to get in range and just full burst them before blinking back out immediately whether she got the kill or not. Kat is almost as bad except she has less escape and often leaves herself exposed longer, plus doesnt have that annoying passive that makes it a 50/50 chance of guessing which is the real one. Though I have used that to my advantage when on my team by healing the fake, tricky the enemy into chasing the fake while the real one makes her escape.
WacingTheFind2 votesWell, I don't really have a clear goal, I just try to do better than the previous season, which I have been doing. Ended silver II in season 4, climbed to gold II in season 5, right now I'm plat III.
You can say I'm accomplishing my goal.

tunehunter1 votesGot Gold IV this season after playing ranked for the first time last season and getting gold V only dissapointment for me is I didnt get to play the last game of placements because my computer DCed and by the time I restarted and got back it was 3 minutes into game and they had already /remake. If only I hadnt dced I may have gotten higher... if we won, but still very happy to get gold 2 seasons in a row.

RocketRelm1 votesI remember having never 'really' trying ranked before this season or putting hardcore effort towards it and setting my goal for Plat. Hit it in less than 100 games, and the new goal is Diamond before the end of the year. Not there yet, but hoping to get it eventually.
