Does flash belong on F or D?
This is an interesting question that always gets asked at one point or another, and I always see interesting answers!

D is for DODGE and F is for Fry to death, of course.

D is the most logical option. The average league of legends player has their left hand ring finger on the q, then middle on w, and pointer finger on e and alternating with r. Because you need to use flash to get out of sticky situation, it should be the most accessible. All you have to do is move your first finger slightly down to use flash, and you have to move is slightly down and to the right to use it on f. ;)
This is so simple so stand by while i educate you all.
Flash is on F. Always. F for flash, or, in the case that I have ghost instead of Flash, F is for Fast.
D is more versatile, so I will list it here.
-D is for Don't die in these cases
-D is for DESTROY
-D is for Don't run
-D is for Deleport. Obviously.
In my opinion... You should make your own keybindings and put it wherever you find it is most optimally placed for you. My summoner spells are 1 and 2, my ultimate is 3, my other 3 skills are Q,W,E and item actives are A,S,D, 4 is ward - I also use the ~ key for stop. But I always place my most defensive summoner spell on 1 and my less defensive summoner spell on 2 because I have become accustomed to hitting 1 in situations that call for popping of defensive abilities like flash - and by doing it that way I never accidentally hit flash when I mean to hit something else, or get confused when I use different summoner spells. If i did use the standard bindings I would probably put it on D. I would definitely suggest you get accustomed to always placing certain summoner spells on certain keys so that you don't confuse yourself and use the wrong one.

summoner1 is anything other than flash/ghost/teleport[unless going duel mobilities then its 1] summoner2 is flash/ghost/teleport

For me, I feel that F is just a bad key in general because I sometimes press F instead of G (for targeting enemies) and that ends up in me wasting a spell.
I have my summoners on C and V because of hand shape + keyboard shape (can't curl fingers fast enough). I also have some habits with the active items - 1 for gold item (talisman, feral flare, etc), 2 for sightstone, 4 for 1st active item (BotRK, locket), 3 for 2nd active item, T for trinket.
Am I the only one using A for flash? It just seems weird to have flash that close to R lol, things don't go well when you panic button the r.

I used to be an F is for Flash and D is for the extra, but I adjusted to D is for Flash (or Dash if take Ghost) and F is for the other.
I put it on f because I can move my index finger faster than my middle finger so I can flash a rengar leap or a zac kamikaze

Therefore Flash is on F. So I can use it to FLEE!

You put your flash on D because I flash my d all the time
D is closest to ult and for all those flash ults you need to be fast plus smite is on F i don't to rember my flash key depeding if im playing jungle or not

i say f i save d for those last second dick moves like health with 1 hp or igniting from a bush and getting a kill while i have 4 hp or teleporting to the creep wave right next to me because i forgot to take quick cast off
unless im jungling. flash is always on D. As for hand positioning i use a naga mouse so my items are 1-6 with trinket on 8. Ring finger on Q With middle on W and Index to press E R D and F. i use the side of my hand to press control and my pinky for shift self casts. All works well enough for me since i have pretty good control over my hand and can press the buttons with ease.
Flash belongs on whatever key you're comfortable using it on and aren't likely to hit by mistake. Muscle Memory can be a huge part of these games, and it's why a lot of starcraft 1 / 2 players brought their own keyboards / mouse to matches.

[F] is for Flash/Ghost (and an extremely rare exception when I sometimes play Shyvana jungle and take Exhaust/Smite instead of Flash.)
[D] is for everything else I commonly use.
I also have my items on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and T. And my trinket on 6. I put my most important active item into the 6th slot so it's quicker to activate.
