I never understand that. We're at inhib turrets -> LET'S GO BARONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
Unless victory is 100% certain, Baron seems to be the safer choice.
For example, if you were to rush their base after an ace and bad things happen (you and your team get a little bit greedy and take too much turret damage, everyone isn't focusing the same objectives, etc.), when the enemy team re-spawns they could sweep your team AND get baron from it. Not only can they defend their base with baron buff, but they are now a threat to fight against.
Ending as soon as possible is usually the best choice. But taking Baron and using the advantage to completely close out the enemy team and leave them no chance for comeback is definitely the safest and surest way of winning.
