Hey now, THAT'S not terrible. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY FIRST GAME AS KATARINA.
First off, I've been playing the game four months. This isn't a smurf. I'm a genuine noob, and for bonus noob points I've never played another MOBA. I'm generally not-good-to-semi-okay with assassins, because full combos still elude me. At this point I have no practical experience with Kat. I took her into the practice tool, and someone who's actually good with her dragged me into a custom game with him playing Vlad so he could teach me how her combo works. So, no practical experience, and in that custom I got only one kill off, and it was because he played deliberately reckless, staying in lane far past when he should have because I WANTED TO KATARINA and he was being nice.
So, I roll her in ARAM. Enemy team has at least three people with hard CC and none of those are ultimates. They shouldn't be scared of me. That game, I did a grand total of 4k damage to champs over the entire game. I think I had 1 kill, 8 deaths, and 7 assists. And yet, THE ENTIRE GAME, the enemy team was watching me, wary of me, got out of the way if I went near them, sent in someone to assassinate me if I was anywhere close and they thought I had my ult up... I think I got off one ult that game when two of them were already dead (that was my kill), and promptly died for it. TL;DR I was the least threatening Katarina in existence but the entire enemy team was scared of me anyway BECAUSE KATARINA.
